Hello and WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL. My name is Davina Davis-Rowel, and I am thrilled to be the new counselor at Frederick Douglass STEM Academy! This is going to be a fun year filled with learning, growing, and lots of new adventures. I cannot wait to get to know you and your child.

First, I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I have worked in education for a total of 24 years. I was a teacher for 7 years and a Librarian for 13 years and this is my 4th year as a School Counselor. I am originally from New Orleans, Louisiana. I attended Southern University A&M where I received my Bachelor's of Science degree Elementary Education with a minor in Earlly Childhood Education. I also attended Texas A&M Commerce where I attained a Master's of Science degree in Reading and Library and Informational Science. My husband is my high school sweetheart and we've been married for 27 years. We have 4 fabulous children, Kartez, Koze', Kaisyn and a precious little dog named Shadow.
